Room to Breathe: The Wild Heart of the San Francisco Peninsula

Kepler’s Books invites you to join us for an afternoon open house showcasing the breathtaking beauty found in the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District open space preserves that inspired the artists featured in Room to Breathe.

Come discover, through a short introduction, meeting staff, and family nature activities, about the District and how it offers free of charge, 365 days-a-year, more than 200 miles of trails for hikers, horseback riders, and bicyclists on 26 preserves including the tree-studded skyline of the Santa Cruz Mountains from San Mateo to Los Gatos.

  • Malcolm Margolin - Founder and executive director of Heyday Books - who provided his
    priceless naturalist expertise to tell Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District’s complex and
    compelling story.
  • Steve Abbors – General Manager
  • Larry Hassett- Menlo Park Board Representative
  • Kristi Britt – Book editor (will be available for signing throughout the event)  

There will be contests, activities for kids, and PRIZES!
